yes, believe it or not . . . we can read, and because of that, we are starting our very own reference library. we have some ideas of books and magazines we want, but thought it would be fun to ask you girls if you have any suggestions. please help!

vintage inspiration

we think this is a nice way to start your morning: a hot cup of coffee, cozy slippers and the Today show. so when Sarah Jessica Parker was a guest yesterday to talk about her new movie we were overwhelmed with excitement. mainly because we knew she would wear a totally amazing outfit. and boy did the girl deliver! as most of you know we here at ban.do are vintage junkies.  if it looks like it came from another decade or era we are majorly obesessed. so imagine how much our hearts fluttered at the sight of SJP's vintage look. her knitted sweater and skirt combination. love! flower appliqués. love! layered bracelets and rings. love! gorgeous 60's/70's wavy hair. l-o-v-e-! so fantastically fabulous - yes please! we hope this inspires you lovelies this weekend!

she inspires us!

although that mustache would not survive today's harsh "facial hair on women" views, she was quite amazing. we are hoping to do a whole bunch of "frida" ban.dos for spring. my friend rachel gave me this book when we first started ban.do. i nearly fell off my chair when i saw it (and yes, i really almost did fall off - - i know people just say that, but i really, really did. i admit i was drinking at the time, but i really attribute it to the book.) if you want a copy go here (and just make sure you are either in a secure seat or sitting on the floor when you open it).
